Alkaline Button Batteries
Characteristic | Primary Batteries
- Toshiba alkaline button batteries deliver a high operating voltage, high capacity, and superior low temperature characteristics.
- The positive active material is manganese dioxide, the negative active material is zinc, and the electrolyte is potassium hydroxide.
- Toshiba alkaline button batteries are ideal for calculators, electronic toys, small radios, cameras, and other low drain equipment. They also deliver excellent performance pulse discharge of a relatively high current, because separators of low electrical resistance are used.
- Alkaline button batteries are identical in appearance and size, and most of them are interchangeable with silver oxide batteries and mercury batteries. It is important to use the alkaline button batteries in suitable equipment conforming to their characteristics.
- By adopting our special design, Toshiba alkaline button batteries have an excellent resistance to leakage and can be stored for a long period of time.

If the batteries are improperly used, they may leak, heat or explode, bringing about injury or device failure. Therefore observe strictly the following matters.

- Do not short-circuit, disassemble, heat, recharge, dispose of in fire.
- Keep batteries out of reach of babies and little children. If by any chance, the batteries are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
- If the alkaline solution from a battery should get in the eyes or come into contact with the skin and clothes, rinse with a large quantity of clean water and consult a doctor immediately.
There is a risk that eyesight could be permanently damaged. - Do not connect (+) (-) of the batteries with wire and do not carry or keep metallic necklace, hairpin, etc. together with batteries.

- Do not insert batteries reverse polarity.
- Do not mix and use "different types of batteries" nor "used and new batteries" together.
- Remove promptly the used batteries from the apparatus.
- At the storage or disposal of the batteries, insulate the terminal parts with tape or the like.
